| Fatcoco - have you been back to your surgeon, have things improved for you? Please let us know how you are doing as we do care and want to provide you with as much support as possible, and knowing what was causing your problem helps others here as well. I do hope you are OK now. | |

| the tinny taste could be lack of particular vitamins/minerals and the bad breath could be from ketosis/rapid weight loss. I think i ate chicken schnitzel at 6 weeks, but then again i have iron guts so much that nothing could stop me eating... ! Please take care, take your vitamins, keep up your fluids and make them nutritional... and go back to the dr. let us know how you go. | |

| Sorry to hear you have had such a rough trot. I'm adding my voice to the choir singing "contact your surgeon urgently". You may have a complication that needs intervention. You certainly should be feeling better than you are. Don't suffer in silence. Head to the doctor ASAP. | |

| Eeeek!
This doesn't sound right! I also advocate going back to see your surgeon asap.
All the best! | |

| Gosh, fatcoco,
Sorry to hear you are suffering so much.
I would contact the surgeon ASAP, and get an urgent appointment.
Sounds like you are having loads of reflux. Don't know if you are on any meds for this.
Also, the gagging with eating or drinking is a big concern too.
I suffer from bouts of reflux, seeing my surgeon tomorrow to get Nexium, instead of Pariet.
The lack of energy I am sure is due to your not being able to eat much, and feeling unwell.
Liquid B12 and BN Multi chewable was the advice I got from my surgical team.
Good luck, hope it resolves for you soon! | |

| Hi.
I'm 6 weeks post op.
Went back to work after 10 days but wish I took more.
I found the first 2 weeks easy.
Now I'm on 6 weeks post op ..I can't stand drinking or eating anything without gagging. The most I can get in each "meal" is a half tablespoon greek yogurt for bkfst, a nibble on a mashed egg for lunch and just soup for dinner. I couldn't even drink a cup of cold water or tap water until I tried hot water yesterday and today and was able to drink nearly the whole cup. I found it very soothing.
I always have no energy and I Froth ALOT- how long does this go on for? ..I'm constantly spitting all the time it's really sickening .. after reading alot of the topics it seems no one has had similar complications or I'm just navigating to the wrong topics to find the answers?
I have a tinny taste in my mouth in the mornings too and my breath is so horrible that even I block my own nose...
Is this normal? I'm pretty depressed and kind of regret having the operation. ..I'm not sure how much longer I can handle this?
I feel like a friggin whinger!!
How did you do it and get through it? ????
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
