mmm I'm gonna have to try the blitzing it with ice and/or find another product maybe? I dunno. Opti bugs me for more reasons than just poor taste and texture.

I found the April page! Thanks for the tip :)

Agree! it is foul! I have started early as I'm in the 'zone' 😊 I have found if I make it really cold with ice and blitz in the Nutri bullet, then drink through a straw ... It's bearable 😝

So from Monday for two weeks ... 3 opti 'meals' per day. I can have any of their products, soups, bars, shakes ... I just have have to sucks it up and keep my eye on the prize .... Less heaps of kgs!!! Thankfully I can have 2 cups of low carbs green veggies too. ☺️

12th April will be here before you know it!  A good idea is to Start an April page in the monthly sleever section here. I have found it really helpful to keep in touch with fellow sleevers going through the the same stages.

If you have not already, try you tube for inspiration! Amazing transformations!

oo I want to hear all about 'offical pre-op'. Did you have to do optifast for a month before? I tried optifast years ago and loathed the taste and texture. Maybe it has improved :/

I'm up on the 12th April :)

Thanks Lizz :)
Good luck with your op in a little over two weeks. I've got two months wait ahead of me which hopefully wont feel too painfully long (I want this done already!)

So it is happening Empty
PostSubject: So it is happening   So it is happening EmptyFri 12 Feb 2016, 7:17 am

Hello all :)

I've done the two visits, my surgeon visit and the date of the surgery locked in.

I'm currently at 116 kg (my highest is 123kg). At my height that sits me at a BMI of 39. I've been up and down so much I'm at the stage I just want something with a better long term prognosis. Just 2 years ago for instance I was down to 70kg. I was happy, healthy and fit. That all changed when I got sick and could no longer exercise. The weight piled rabidly back on, which I guess it does because that is the nature of obesity. I know now I'll only ever be obese in remission. There is no cure and it will take constant work but at least with the sleeve I have an improved chance of keeping it off.

I can't say I am not worried though. I don't know how I'll go with the low blood sugar for instance. I've been dieting lately and the low blood sugar does set off some freaky symptoms in me (this time around).
I'm also worried of the complications and recovery obviously.

.. which is partly why I'm here I guess .. to hear from those who have gone before.

Thank you for having me :)
