well, it's good to know that no one (so far) has had anything that's particularly annoying :-)

I'm lucky, in that I feel as though I have had sufficient when I have had sufficient.
I just stop there. Occasionally, I might have another teaspoon or two if what I had already had was a tiny amount and I know that I need more sustenance e.g. going out.
I "pushed it" further when out a couple of times, and felt uncomfortable and nauseous, like a person who hadn't had a gastric sleeve who has eaten too much.

I have felt hideous (nauseous, weak, in pain etc) from eating too fast, too much or having not chewed well enough combined with eating too fast - this was last night, when I had home-made pork crackle!  It got 'stuck'.

I am now 8 months post-op.

:)

9+ weeks out.

If I'm eating and overdo it by a bite - I feel discomfort.  If I eat the first couple bites too fast - discomfort.  Both don't happen if I just go slow, and eat over 20 minutes.  Then I just feel full.

I often have a period of burping after a very solid meal - the softer it is/more I've chewed, the less likely to burp.  Again though - less likely if I go really slow.  Doesn't last too long.

Very occasionally I get the runny nose.   No other reflux symptoms now though.

None of it bothers me, except if I get the discomfort - it's not pain, but that makes me stop/slow down.

FTF I developed hiccups after the sleeve after I eat. It doesn't last long and doesn't happen every time I eat but I do notice it perhaps after I have had a bit to eat. It generally doesn't happen until after I finish eating so is not like a warning to stop or anything, it doesn't happen for long enough to be really annoying, it just is..

So,as a pre sleever, who has had to wait the 12 month PHI waiting period, I have been , like most of us, researching every area of sleeve info. I've noticed that some people develop post op 'quirks' - things that their body wasn't doing pre sleeve, often , but not exclusively, related to alerting you that you've eaten enough and need to stop - I've read hiccups, sneezing, runny nose, mainly. Obviously everyone is different, and I may not have any of these symptoms, but I thought it would be interesting to hear from others on this forum. Do you have anything like this happen? Is it related to fullness, or is it just something that you've noticed post op ? Is it annoying , or helpful if it stops you eating too much ? Or, do you have no quirks/signs and just know you've had enough?! Looking forward to hearing from you post sleevers!
