Hi and welcome giggles351,

I seem to remember that you were down at Mandurah, or am I thinking of someone else?
You may even want to consider surgeons in Bunbury - I know that there a few down there as well.

I was sleeved by Stephen Watson back in Feb this year, who I think is a good surgeon and I like him; at SJOGM - which I can't stand.  Nursing care there is crap (I've been there a few times :( and I am a nurse.  Thank God I have a bit of common sense, or they would have sent me home to die after having an incisional hernia repair.  I had a paralytic ileus and small bowel obstruction. necessitating two further admissions re Emergency).

$3050 gap for Stephen Watson
$1500 gap for anaesthetist
$200 odd for pre-op and post-op dietician.
Take home medication extra (I didn't need any)
and you'll cop gaps in costs for blood tests and pathology.

My friend @Juldon1 went to Leon Cohen, who I think offers a great support and follow up package.
Kevin Dolan also seems to be very popular, along with ?? spelling Handa Ch-something (Murdoch).
You've just got to do a "search" using the "Search" button above, and that will bring up heaps of info.

All the best.
:)

I was recently sleeved by Dr Basson at Joondalup Hospital he practises out of BMI in Joondalup and for the surgery I was out of pocket $2500. I have Medibank top hospital cover, add the dietician and psyc to that.

He is a lovely man and the surgery has been smooth sailing, couldn't speak more highly of him.
