| I was sleeved last Monday 27/04/15
for two days it was clear fluid only then on to free fluid after that till one week post op and on to puree food for 3 weeks.
I have had no complications no pain and am feeling great (I went back to work at 1 week post op)

| I can't remember what I did when I was sleeved, but I'm in my second week of being bypassed & am allowed yoghurt. I'm also going off a "gastric sleeve" diet right now as I've yet to see my dietician, and the nurses couldn't find a bypass guideline sheet. | |

| I couldn't have yoghurt or pudding until week three after first review with surgeon and dietician. Even then it was a little hard to have more than 2 or 3 teaspoons. I'm 4 weeks out and slowly going from mushy to solid. My advice don't rush you belly has had a big ordeal. Good luck :) | |

| Hi Lisa, if you have any doubts, give your surgeon and/or dietician a call. If you are still in hospital, don't necessarily trust they are giving you the correct things. When I was in hospital, they tried to give me things I knew I wasn't allowed to have as per my surgeons plan, he just about hit the roof when he found out. Follow your own surgeons advice, he/she knows you best, and it seems like each one can be a little different to the next.
Good luck | |

| Hi Lisa,
Every Dr. has slightly different eating plans. Mine was clear fluids for the first three days, then free fluids for the next week such as soups and protein drinks, grading onto custards and yoghurt by the third week.

| My dietitian specialised in bariatric patients - he only allowed me liquid - I didn't have thicker stuff until week 3. He told me that there are some surgeons who allow it but that if the hospital tried to serve me anything viscous to refuse.
He explained that the stomach is so swollen that it is only a trickle through (he put his hands flat together and said that there was no gap.
