| hi rose, my GP admitted he knows "jack Shit" about the sleeve operation. Im his 1st patient to have this op. hes now right into finding more about it. i wouldn't be worrying too much about your bowels. as my surgeon said some do, some dont, i was explosive (tmi) like water for about 3 weeks, others nothing. his reply was nothing in nothing out is quite ok, as we are not eating solids . passing wind is good.... if u r really worried give your surgeon a call. | |

| Movicol is good, but you must drink lots of water with it. I use Dulcolax drops (I get mine from Chemist Warehouse)- never an issue, no gripey pains, easy! | |

| I was freaking out after about 4 days, so I went to the chemist and they reccomended Movicol Best stuff ever!! Got everything moving again!! But, as WondayWendy said, it did take a while to be beack to normal... (although... some days....) | |

| I don't remember how long but I know it was a while. I think there is so little in your system that there is not much to go through. I'm back to normal 4 and a half months out but it was a bit dodgy for the first couple of months. I found a Yakult each day helped over time. | |

| ok so this is a bit embarrassing Just want to know if anyone else is having this problem I am 8 days post op and have not had a bowel motion I am still taking pretty regular pain meds I started taking collxyl 4 days ago Have used three micro lax enemas over the past few days and yesterday I took one ducolax! Still not moving I have been having at least 4 teaspoons of benefiber a day for the past 4 days I am passing a lot on wind so I know my bowel is working but no BM
Should I be worried? I seeing my GP tomorrow but I'm not sure what else I can do
Any ideas? Have anyone else had this problem? | |
