| I also saw Dr Liew on Friday 20 Feb; and have my surgery booked in for Friday 20 March at Allamanda Hospital. I took my list of about 20+ questions in and asked all of them - but he did answer alot of them first.
He's put me on optifast for 3 weeks and also said it's up to me to see a dietician, etc. So I'm going to do that when I find one with availability! lol I'm also going to ask my doctor to do a full set of bloods as well to make sure all is ok before the surgery.
I found Dr Liew to be very soft and gentle - and quiet spoken. For me, this translated into me thinking that he'll be a gentle surgeon and who is very caring - which is defintaley how he comes across. He also said to email him any queries or questions, so that's comforting. | |

| I had my appointment with Dr Liew on Friday the 20th of February. My surgery is booked for April. I have 6 1/2 weeks until the gastric sleeve operation. Dr Liew seems really nice and I might see a dietician myself as well.
I only asked half the questions I wanted to ..... nervous and excited I guess. But he said emailing is not an issue.
Good luck everyone. | |

| I was supposed to see Dr Liew today at 10:30, but due to a little bit of rain I had to reschedule. :) Now on 17th April. Good to hear other peoples experiences with him. All the best Lonie62! | |

| For sure Mandy.
I also forgot to say, I took it upon myself to go and see the dietitian and a psychologist. The dietitian is in Coolangatta and she was fantastic and has given me all I need to know for pre and post op diets and I go back to see her two weeks post op. My choice but it is a great help I believe.
Good luck.

| I am having my surgery with Dr Liew on 13/3 at John Flynn. He is very approachable and has no problems with me sending him emails to ask questions - he responds very quickly.
My only concern is he didn't say I needed to see a dietitian etc and that if I had had recent blood tests that would be enough. I also don't need to go to a pre op clinic which I thought was a bit strange for the level of surgery I am having but hey, I am still happy. Sometimes I think I know too much working in health.
I have only heard good things about him too.
3 Weeks today.
