going camping 3 weeks after surgery

My husband was done in march last year and we were away about 3 or 4 weeks later - he was still living on mushy foods then and just took it easy - BUT he was feeling back to normal so im guessing if you are feeling fine and not going to over do to much then you should be ok

We are booked into go camping 3 weeks after I have surgery aswell as going camping again 8 weeks post surgery , we are only going about 1 hour out of Perth so wondering if this is a good idea nearest hospital would be an hour away my kuds are really looking forward to it
any suggestions :-)
