| Yes swan I did see another post (youtube) a few weeks ago that someone found that in the States obesity has been recognized as a disease. We are still struggling with full recognition of this here in Australia which is a shame we still in most States here have to pay a lot of money to get these operations they are around $25000 with very little covered by private insurance. I hope we follow suit very soon for the other people who are still suffering from this disease.
By the way I called you swan as I am sure that is what you are heading for not the ugly duckling. Good luck when your sleeve op comes around. I have no regrets it is working well for me. | |

| From SWAN...." .The other 50 percent of thin people that think surgery is the easy way out!!! We are not lazy--as a child I got comments like , SHE has a very beautiful face.. But , if she would lose that weight !!!. Even now I receive many compliments .... SO, look in the mirror an say ..THIS is my way...WHAT is your excuse !!!... | |

| Hello, BLUEBAGS...I had my" intestinal bypass surgery ...at 20 yrs old the youngest in the nation... .I only had one surgery 1973..major plastic to remove all skin in 1974...I was left with two feet of intestines.. .in 2009 reconnection surgery.. I found or he found me this doctor in the hospital again.. .now I'AM at 275 lbs...now that AMA has said 'OBESITY' is like diabetes,alcoholism ETC..finally ...I was not a lazy person as child I walked 44 blocks to and from school!!--I had weight loss shot's as a child...SO, Now I am going to have 'Gastic Sleeve' after I pass every test they put in front of me!!!...Thank you..SWAN | |

| Sorry Swan but did you have the bypass operation as a child is that what you are saying or is it you have had many kinds of Weight loss Surgery and this reconnection is a new type of surgery. I don't quite understand your message I do apologise. | |

| I finally received surgery to reconnect my intestines....I gained. 91 lbs!!! In 2months..3weeks--first operation in1973--I weighted 321 lbs at 12 years old...after the1973. Operation ..I got down to 134 lbs. in 4 months ..had plastic surgery... my own mother did not know who i was at her door !!!..for 40 years in and out of hospitals...I would do it again in a heart beat!!!.. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!!...THANK YOU!! | |
