| Awesome news that you are feeling better on some tabs. Yes there are a lot of variables in diet everywhere. I would never have got puréed down in the early days as I struggled with just water. Lol | |

| Yes the variables in aftercare is quite confusing my doctor also allowed puree as soon as you got home just making sure we kept it thinned out. Glad you got some drugs to fix the burning its not a pleasant feeling had it for some time in the past before getting my permanent drug.
Hope everything continues to go well. | |

| Allaboutme: Thanks for your concern. My surgeon, and his support team, puts his patients on pureed food within a few days of surgery. I've certainly seen a divergence of practices regarding this. Also, I've talked to my nutritionist about this as well. She did ask me to hold off on the eggs until next week just so I don't push too much too soon. As for the acid reflux, I started taking Prilosec OTC (surgeon recommended) the day after I posted and the issue seems to be dissipating.
I seem to be tolerating the food very well. I've been careful to undereat so that I don't throw anything back up. So far, so good.

| I'm surprised that 5 days out and you are on puréed. Most of us were on liquid only for 2 weeks. I would be contacting your surgeon regardless just to be sure it is reflux. Especially since you are heading into a long weekend. Just my thoughts. X | |

| Yeah definitely some reflux most Drs here in Aus automatically put you on reflux drugs for 3 mths post op as they say reflux can also make you think your hungry. I was already on them as I had a undiagnosed hernia for years apparently so for me it business as usual. It's hard enough finding the right foods to make yourself feel happy longer term in this puree stage without having heartburn. | |

| Yeah sounds like heartburn/reflux, it's quite common post sleeve surgery. I'd suggest contacting your surgeon or gp to get some meds for it if you don't already have some | |

| Five days post op. I'm having minimal pain and my stomach seems to be accepting must of the very basic pureed foods I'm eating. However, I think I have heartburn. This is new to me as I don't usually get this. It's a burning sensation right after I swallow and then again 20 seconds later further down in my stomach. I'm able to keep everything done but it makes eating and some drinking labor some.
Any comments on what I'm experiencing and whether its part of the norm?
FYI: You guys are a godsend. My stress levels dropped when I found this place to ask questions. I appreciate all of you!
