| Hi, a couple of weeks ago i started taking Natures Way Daily Fibre, they are Vita Gummies for Adults. You get 110 in a large container and you only need two a day,i was bad at remembering my Metamucil or Benefibre and to have it in my food or a drink, these i just place next to my daily vitamins and i dont forget them now,i found they work wonders, instead of every five days i can do do the every second day thing with out getting myself into any pain. They are in Woolies in the vitamin section and are mixed Berry flavours. They are around $20 so if there is any one else out there who fails miserably remembering to take the other two for fibre try these and set them near your daily vits. I am so used to taking them daily now with no problems | |

| Hi Lilac,
sorry to hear of y our uncomfortableness
just to clarify... i am 2.5years post sleeve.... constipation was as a result of strong medication
following injuries few months.... i doubt due to sleeve... the sleeve has been uneventful and i have absolutely no regrets other than not having done it earlier....
i find lots of water, exercise and fibre so important.... i am aware that many require some form of laxative first 12 months.... but i guess it takes getting up few minutes earlier and sitting few minutes longer and training body..... hope u overcome constipation soon :))
thanks for sharing .... | |

| Am so sorry to hear of your problems with constipation following sleeve surgery. I also am requiring surgery following chronic constipation problems as a result of the sleeve. If I'd known of the pain and suffering I'd have to endure after having the sleeve I wouldn't have got it done. I'd rather be fat and healthy rather than slim and feeling ill. | |

| Thank You Janette and Smurfette :)) i had no initial or prior issues until recently my concerns are heighten as I recall my presurgery discussons with Dr Taylor about inherent risks of the procedure He stated main concern if in future cancer then there would be enough of stmach to cut away... i am now concerned about risks involved in colonosocopy procedure.... I am fine after antibiotics and the colonoscopy merely as precaution it scared me at first that all related to sleeve :( but i have loved my sleeve...i have felt better than have in my entire life.... I have a life now :))))))) Good health to you all fellow sleevers... | |

| Yes, on a routine colonoscopy last January, no symptoms. Just told to eat plenty of fibre, which I do now anyway. | |
