| Kazz, my surgeon allowed me to start light cardio 2 weeks post op then at 4 weeks I started light weights. I was 6 weeks yesterday. There is no physical damage you can do to hurt your stomach only gotta be careful of the external wounds... | |

| Hi,
You should be entitled to a care plan from your gp. I got one recently to cover seeing a bariatric dietician and exercise physiologist. Saw the exercise dude today who asked lots of qs about what type of exercise I do and health issues, injuries, surgeries etc. He has given me some reisistance/weight exercises to do that won;t be to difficult then I will see him in a month. I am getting 2 free sessions with him and will keep seeing him every mth or so via PHI.
This might be a good idea however call your surgeon first. | |

| Hi Kazz B, i would wait until after your next checkup or at around 12-14 weeks and lots of walking is great or the bike,i have started using the treadmill which is great.I would start with very light weights at first and you can get the ones that fit on your wrist and use those while on the treadmill. Dont do any heavy weights for a while yet incase you do any damage which is pretty much the norm for any stomach type of surgery. | |
