| It can sometimes happen approximately three/four months after any operation due to the stress of the medications while under. I noticed mine being very dry and knotty about three months post sleeve; and came out in clusters about a few weeks later. My surgeon/gp said it wouldn't matter if I cut my hair or not; but I did for my own sake to ease the knots I keep pulling out. The first I noticed it was bad was when the shower drain got clogged up. Some people loose hair some do not. | |

| My doctor listed this as a possible complication and cited zinc and or protein deficiency as the reason. | |

| I just spoke to my hairdresser this morning about this.
I rapidly lost 14kg thanks to a gastric balloon and also lost quite a bit of hair. He said it is normal and it will grow back when the weight loss slows down.
So, bracing myself for a thinner me and (temporarily) thinner hair after the sleeve.
At least it grows back I guess. | |

| I got sleeved in May, ive lost 35 kg, i have been realllly slack with multi vit taking and have just noticed my hair is falling out since removing my extensions. I think that if you take a multi and if you notice it thinning, get something like nioxin, then you should be fine.:D | |

| Its something I have been a little worried about also, I love my long hair and was lucky enough to keep most of it despite my cancer plan, im now worried it will fall out after my sleeve is done. :( | |

| Hi Guys I've been reading comments about hair loss. Does this happen to everyone? I'm a bit concerned... irrational that i'd be worried about this more than a leak. . |
