Trying to conceive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Trying to conceive   Trying to conceive EmptyFri 15 Feb 2013, 1:33 am

Hi Georgie

I can relate to what you are feeling and your desire to be a mother... But please dont give up hope. This is just a temporary detour and it will happen for you just give it time. My surgeon gave me some good advice. He said that I must remember when i was morbidly obese my body was fighting a continuous upheaval battle and now with this weight loss the battle is in reverse. It will take time for it to normalise. Every one is different. You have sooo much counting for you and I think you forget the most important thing.... Your partner is there with you and you healthy and looking fabulous.

My husband and I been married for 10 years and knew from the start we wanted kids and lots of them. That desire was fruitless and after many negative pregnancy test results, my heart just sank each month and so depression settled in. Seen so many doctors and fertility specialist and he stuck with my through my diet phases, the i am going to gym phases and even when doctors said impossible to fall pregnant due to pcos stages he stuck by my side. When i finally took the leap and did my sleeve 9 months ago he was there when they wheeled me into theatre and when i came out of recovery. And never asked my why i am doing it cause his desire to be a father was there too.

December 2012 I told him i think something is wrong my boobs are sooo sore (my mum had breast cancer) but i delayed seeing the doctor cause I was scared. By End Jan i could take it no more and went to see my GP. My husband had to almost pick me up from the floor as i was laughing when my doctor asked me if i was pregnant cause for the life of me i could not remember my last period. That thought never ever entered my mind. Its not like a gave up hope I just had a daily mantra when it happens it will happen. She said I should till do the test.. HOLY MOLY it turned out I am pregnant. 10 weeks to be exact.

So Georgie love, give it time.... Enjoy the compliments people are giving you about how stunning you look now. And when you pick up weight and they comment on how your op did not work cause you picking it all up again. You can actually tell them that weight gain is because you are pregnant....
All the best my honey... Trying to conceive 217555

Trying to conceive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Trying to conceive   Trying to conceive EmptyMon 11 Feb 2013, 10:37 pm

No good this month. I wasnt as disappointed as I thought that I would be, which is good.
:(

Next due on the 6/3.

I went and bought some of those Ovulation test online FNM. I got 50 to start with, so you think i should start ding those as soon as my period finishes? I have never really tracked my ovulation, so could be interesting. Congratulations on your pregnancy, I will be following your posts. I hope you are enjoying it! Not long to go now. :)

So im just going to chill the heck out for now and see how I go. Not stress as much. I think you are right GlenMaree - Stressing is bad. And congratulations on being a Nanna. :)

So I will eat right, sleep well, laugh lots and do all the wicked fun things in the bedroom! Haha!

Thank you all so much for you support. I really appreciate it.

I think I had a sign actually - if anyone believes in that. My aunt who has five kids rang me on friday and asked me if I wanted all of her baby stuff, she was just going to send it to vinnies. Now no one other then myself and my partner, and you ladies here know that we are trying to conceive. So i thought that it was really strange that out of all the people she knows, she would ring me and ask me if I wanted the stuff. Really good quality stuff to!! You beauty.

I will keep you posted. Hopefully this month will bring me a BIG FAT POSITIVE . :)

Love
georgie.

Hi Georgie

Did you know that your stress levels can impact on your ability to conceive? I totally understand that you want a baby really badly but you are putting yourself under a lot of pressure. I am old enough to be your Mum and while I didn't have a problem conceiving - my daughters aged in their late 20's did. For the first one - I was seeing a psychologist at the time and mentioned that she had been trying for months - his suggestion was during the period she was ovulating she should try and nurse a baby as this action changes the physiology of the brain and makes the body more receptive. I told her and she laughed it off and kept trying - months past and her younger sister was pregnant. We joke about it now but the night that my daughter gave birth - her sisster and partner "did the deed" and exactly nine months later - a new baby girl. Then my younger daugther tried again - months past and she was getting really desperate - she finally told me that she was going to go back to work and that they had decided that the little girl they had was enough. So she stopped trying but didn't recommence birth control and you guessed it - about three months down the track she was pregnant. So the moral of this long tale - relax, focus on being healthy, exercise, sleep well, be happy and enjoy your time with your partner and nurse lots of babies whenever you can - you know you can fall pregnnt and it will happen again but don't let it consume your life - you are young and have lots still to do.

If you're not pregnant this time...
And if you haven't already you could start testing for when you are ovulating. I found that I wasn't ovulating every month and when I did ovulate it wasn't on the same days each period. In fact my successful conception happened after getting a positive ovulation test 8 days after my period started which is earlier than usually expected. At first I bought ovulation kits from the pharmacy which usually include 7 tests. I found them expensive so went online and bought 100 tests off ebay. Given the cost saving I tested every day for a couple of months - spotted the positive test and the rest happened as it often does - naturally! I'm now 31 weeks and eagerly waiting or baby to make his debut performance!

Trying to conceive Empty

Help!
I am a total stress head.
I was sleeved on 6th June 12. Have lost 50kg since.
Now i had a pregnancy March 12 but miss carried.

My partner and i are trying for a baby. This is myy first proper attempt, being off the pill and timing when i ovulate. Here are my dates.
Last P was 13th Jan. Therefore my ovulation dates should have been between 24-28. Main day being 27. We did the deed on the 24, 25, 26, 27th. My next period is due on the 10th.

Im so desperate for this baby that i think i have worked myself up. I did a test today and it was negative. i know its way to early but i couldn't help myself.

I should be more fertile now then i was last year because of the weightloss and because im so young. I feel that if i am pregnant i should be having some symptoms by now. :(
I kind of feel heavy in the lower tummy sort of full feeling and like i need to go to the toilet. But last pregnancy my boobs were so sore, i can't remember when that started though. And last time was a surprise and i was 6weeks when i found out.
But anyways. My boobs aren't sore. Isn't that the first sign?

I want this so much.

Has anyone tested early got a positive????
