| Yes I was in the same boat, I was on DP injections, and I still got mine the day before surgery! I had all my supplies and the nursing staff were all very understanding. As it turns out, there was absolutely no dramas or delays. I think it must be stress related... | |

| they don't even venture downstairs so it won't stop surgery. if you are worried take the most super absorbent pads you can get (no tampons to hard to use at that time), also take in black knickers (great for that time of month don't have to worry about stains. | |

| Hi everyone, I have just realised I am due around my surgery and was concerned that they wouldn't go ahead. It's not like we haven't got enough to worry about. Thanks for the info | |

| I got mine the morning after surgery. I wasn't prepared because it was over a week early. The nurse sorted everything, including emergency supplies etc. She gave me a stack of pads, which are probably easier to manage since bending and contorting can be a bit of a challenge plus you are bloated from the gas. | |

| I did..
During the hospital stay i did use pads as it was just easier for me. I informed the nurse at the hospital admin that i had my period and she told me i could wear my own undies but she gave me a jumbo sized pad and told me to wear that as they dont want me to leak on the theater bed
after the op just use what ever makes you comfortable .. you will be up and walking the next day either way | |

| Has anyone had their period during the surgery? I've just looked at my calendar and realise that I should be just about due then... If you did, was it manageable? I usually use a cup - should I switch to pads for that cycle? | |
