| Jannie G, there is a December group, it is in the monthly sleevers section. There are also some get togethers coming up, one in Perth and one in Bunbury. Check out the sleever's get togethers section for details. There are quite a few WA sleevers (and soon to be sleevers) about. | |

| Hi there I'm 54, currently weight 107kg (Not good as I'm only 157cm tall). Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes have sore knees all the time and generaly feel like there's a thin person trapped inside this oversized body somewhere, if only I could find the zipper.
Like you I have my sleeve date 12.12.12. Although I know its the key to letting out the trapped thin person and helping to resolve my health issues, I'm really nervous about the op. I don't know what to expect pain wise or how I'll feel in general in the first few days after surgery. Hopefully not alot.
I am from Mandurah and my surgeon is Gordon Padovan, I've heard he's really good and I hope its true!!
I'm dissapointed I cant join you November sleevers but maybe theres a December group to. Anyway I'd love to share the journey.

| nutbags (LOL) Nice to hear there is a november 2012 forum, and thank you spidee. I am so anxious about the op in 12 days. I know it will improve my future 100%, but just worry day in day out. I am sure it will be great for me. Ideal really. As I don't eat fast food, not got a sweet tooth, hardly eat choco or cake (xmas about that). Am practically a vegetarian. It is just I eat too much of the good stuff. Looking forward to the november Forum and to hearing for you spidee about your journey too. |

| I was 95kg in June, like you but my BMI was worse, it was about 39.. but as older ladies, and I am nearly 58, we can do this. I was sleeved 5 weeks ago and have lost over 10 kgs. this is a great forum and if you are on Face book there is also a page on there. | |
