| Hi!
Speak to your surgeon to set your mind d at ease, from what I've been told, you would have severe abdo pain and high fevers if you had opened your tum.
Have you ever tried peppermint tea, if it is gas/wind that will help to clear it.
Honestly, speak to your surgeon, he/she will let you know if it's anything to worry about
Hope it gets sorted soon for you

| Hi There
I was too very worried about my sleeve for about 3/4 weeks post op i had the worst pain. Oh my it was horrible.
I too thought something had happened to my stomach. After 4 weeks I had enough and went to the Dr and demanded that something be done.
She called my surgeon and we had a telephone link up. It turned out to be air trapped in the abdomen, plus the tissue pulling around the incision site as my surgeon stitched way tight through the layers so I wound get a hernia at incision site.
He told my Gp to get me laying down and give my whole abdomen a really good firm massage. Well it has worked a treat. But I as i sat in the car I blacked out from this sharp sharp pain near the incision site. But after that I have not one ounce of pain from it. All is good. At post op check up Surgeon was super happy.
The pain the 4 weeks was awful - i was down about it, couldn't exercise. Couldn't do much at all. I was so pleased that I took 6 weeks off work.
Get back in touch with your Surgeon and tell him exactly what is going and that you need something done as its affecting your day to day living.
All the best Take Care lissa | |
