| Hi Annie
Ditto on the welcomes from other sleevers. You'll find as you trawl through the site that there are quite a few people waiting out their PHI kicking in....the good news is it could take you a year at least just to START reading through all the posts and threads :)

| Thank you everyone for your warm welcomes. I will go and have a look for the Adelaide group as I am keen to hear about local surgeons.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

| Hi Annie,
Congratulations on making the decision to be sleeved.
I am booked in to have my sleeve done 5 November and can hardly wait. I had a band removed in June and have to allow my tummy time to heal to reduce the chance of complications.
As Janet said, this forum is invaluable as are the get togethers.
Hopefully we will see you at one of our get togethers

| Hi Annie, Welcome to the forum and to the start of a very exciting journey! The forum is a great place to assist with information and support from people who have been there and will understand your fears and concerns. There are regular Adelaide group catch up, one being this Saturday in Gawler. It would be worth checking the thread for information on these. The lunch is for people at various stages in their journey, from long time sleevers, to those on mushy foods just post-op and those still waiting. It is warm and very wlecoming group of people that catch up and you would be more than welcome if you wished to attend. Hope all your planning goes to schedule over the next few months. Cheers for now, Janet | |

| Hi There
My name is Annie. I decided 2 months ago to get weight loss surgery and I believe the sleeve is the way to go. I have set up my insurance, now I am in a holding pattern. I have spoken to my doctor who is very encouraging. I will start seeing surgeons in the next few months so that when my waiting period is over I will be able to jump straight in.
I am spending these 12 months making sure I am as fit and healthy as I can be ready for the surgery.
I am looking forward to getting to know people and hearing all your stories.
:) Annie | |
