| Love Love Love this thread!!!
Some of my goals are to start surfing again, do fight/MMA classes, travel and do all the things I never ever did because my weight held me back.
I also have always promised myself I would get a Tag Heuer Watch, but only once I reach a goal of 75kg. I have a feeling I might need to start saving for this watch pretty soon!!!!
I think these life goals are so important, its awesome to see people not only reaching them, but going beyond what they thought was achievable!!!

| Glenmaree - Canada is on my to do list as well.. I have new 'step' family over there and from what they have told me, it sounds so amazing!
Also have plans to travel to England and Fiji and do another cruise holiday with friends and actually be game enough to get into swimmers!
Every day I think of this thread and the new things I would love to do once the weight is off!

Wow, that's great to hear. I've been looking at lessons and its reassuring to hear that 12 weeks is enough to gain confidence. I've used excuses to avoid them, I guess. My body, don't like public pools blah blah, have to push those aside. Thank you for your info!

My bucket list is a long one...but the big ones at the moment
Join a hiking club Hike the Oxfam Trail Challenge Learn to Dive Hike to Macchu Pichu Ce roc dancing (I used to do this at my biggest but my back and knee injuries have prevented me to do this for a few years) City to Surf Join a hockey club (never played but always wanted to) continue to travel (but keep up with the pace!) | I know that at the start of my journey - I also had dreams of things I wanted to achieve or do - apart from reaching the age of 50 due to both my parents passing away very young. It's amazing are they are similar to others. I dream to: Skydive (tandem) for my 50th Harbour Bridge climb Undertake a fundraiser marathon for Breast Cancer (for mum) Live to an age where I get to enjoy grandchildren!! Undertake a tour to Europe - DONEFit in an aeroplane seat without an extension belt - DONEWear knee length boots - DONEOne thing I know for sure and that is you become more confident in having your photos done and to get compliments saying that your two daughter look like your sisters and more than I could ever ask for.Take care all.

Yeah, exactly the same reason why I've not gotten mine yet.. A few times I've been like, as if I'll ever lose weight, just get it done. But now I'm so glad I've waited, because I'm almost at the point I'll begin losing the weight. It's something well worth waiting for :)

| Great to hear everyone's dreams and goals.. Let's hope they all come true for us sooner rather then later. All very inspirational too :) It has given me a few things to think about, like playing a team sport etc.
Demilanni, that's great to hear you are going to go for tough mudder 2014..
I would like to be able to complete a fundraiser walk/run when the fitness level improves. Also I want to get a tattoo on my ribs for my dad (who passed away when I was 6), so that will be on my list too.

| I would love all the usual things like new clothes and feeling better within myself but my big goals are • play hockey within a team (same club as children and hubby) rather then only watching from the sideline • wear boots • have higher energy level so i can PLAY with my 3 children not watch them • bridge climb (i didnt know that had 'fat' suits • FINISH a warrior dash (army style obstacle course) And most importantly loose my insecurities :) | |

| I would love to start horse riding again. I grew up riding horses and then when I put on the weight was to embarassed to do it and to scared of hurting the horse. I would also love to learn how to Pole dance. They have classes near where I live and have always wanted to try it. It looks like so much fun.
But my biggest goal is the same as you demilanni. To be a healthy role model for my 2 boys.
Good luck to everyone acheiving their dreams & goals. It's only a matter of time now xxx

For myself there are a few things I want to do when I am "skinny"
I want to do tough mudder 2014 I want to learn to belly dance I want to play a team sport I want to wear boots I want to sit in a plane without a extension belt I want to go to an indoor play center and be able to climb to the top with my daughter do she can go on the slide I want to learn to shuffle
But most of all my dream is to break the obesity cycle and raise 2 healthy girls, who have no weight issues and a good role model in their mum.

| This is going to sound a bit embarrassing to admit but I'll come out with it. I want to learn to swim, and not just swim, but swim well. Like life guard level well.
I love and both fear the water in equal measure. I nearly drowned learning when I was 10. And after that, I was too scared to try. Later on, I didn't learn because I was too self conscious about my body. My cousin one time got caught in a rip and the inability to act on my behalf was the the most horrible feeling ever. Of course I would have tried if my brother hadn't jumped in but I probably would have killed both of us in the process. Felt so powerless, never want to feel that way again.
So one of my biggest dreams for after surgery is not only feel comfortable wearing a bikini or a swim suit but to also feel comfortable in the water.

| Great thread Alysia. I always wanted to be an volunteer ambo driver & earlier this year & 40 kilos lighter I qualified. It was not that I couldnt have done it before but I was too embarressed to tuck my shirt in or be caught at an accident & not be able to bend over to give life saving help to a patient because of my weight!! :(
Now my goal is to get fit, yes Im skinny but unfit, so for the first time I have started to jog & lift weights!!

| Great idea Alysia! Sometimes we can get so focussed on the weight-loss that we forget why we're doing it -to live life!!
Swimming with dolphins sounds wonderful. no it will be quite an experience. I'd always wanted to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb too, and ticked that one off the list a couple of years ago. It was fantastic, and the weather was perfect on the day. I'd love to do it again one day.
One of my dreams is to get fit enough to run a marathon. The Rome Marathon to be precise! I have no misconceptions of becoming a super-athlete lol, just to finish would be an amazing achievement, and to do that in such an amazing, historic place....aaaahhh just magical!! I'm hoping, or should I say PLANNING to do that in March 2014.

| Did anyone else have any dreams or goals (besides weight loss or new clothes) that they wanted to achieve once they lost weight?
I've always wanted to swim with Dolphins, but have never done it because I would hate to be turned away and embarrassed with a "Sorry, we don't have a wetsuit to fit you" kind of comment. Once I begin my weight loss, that's one thing I will be doing.
I had always wanted to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb...and did end up doing it in January..once I found out they had 'jumpsuits' big enough and I wouldn't get turned away.
Another thing I would love to do, is join as a volunteer SES member...
Feel free to share any of your dreams/achievements that you want to fulfill or have fulfilled since your weight loss.
