| Hi BigRig, I saw Padovan at the beginning of May, and was very happy with his technique and support staff. I have PHI with HBF, and for the surgery my out of pocket expense was $4700 for the op, and approx. $380 for the dietitian, but this is a lump sum one off payment, that covers you for approx. 6-8 sessions. After every appointment Debra writes you a receipt for you to claim the maximum amount back from Medicare, without having to fork out any more cash. My gasman was covered by HBF, so I was quite lucky with that one, and then it was just the cost of blood tests etc that needed to be done for blood type and such. I was given my Nexium and Band Buddies in hospital, as well as some liquid panadol if needed. I think these come to around $60? but I could be mistaken... Hopefully this has been some help to you... All the best of luck, and take care | |

| Hi justmatey902 I have a booking to see padovan in September and I was wondering if you could tell me the complete out of pocket expense because I need to get things organised to try and claim for my super. I'm just not sure about dietician and psych and any other little hidden gems there might be. | |

| Had my surgery 28th March 2013 surgeon was Dr Padovan (nearly 16 weeks ago). It's been the best thing I've ever done for myself, His a great Doctor and tells you straight up now things are going. No messing around very informative awesome support staff. I'm so grateful for this new lease of life and the wonderful team at Emerge Surgical for there support and aftercare from day one. You also join the dietician when you sign up its all part of the package but you need that support in the earlier months and its does really help keep you on track. | |

| Dr Padovan did my surgery 4 weeks ago, and I haven't had any problems. Minimal pain and discomfort, easy recovery, can't recommend him highly enough. | |

| I am booked in for surgery with Dr Padovan in 2 weeks. I'm very excited. My mum actually told me that he's the doctor to see, as she worked with him and knew how meticulous he is. He has a 0% leakage rate, as he double stitches the stomach as well after the initial stapling. He will also to skin removal discounted for his patients :) | |

| and have lost 55kgs. I had a worry free surgery and no complications. I had a radical tummy tuck 8 weeks ago and have nothing but good things to say. I have no raised scars and already look like it has been done for years. I did buy a scar kit to help heal the scar but have no need for it. Can complain - easy to talk to, nothing is a problem and very careful surgeon. It has cost me 10K in 3 years for 2 surgeries and that has been the best investment ever. I am still 10kg over my ultimate goal but it has changed my life. You can only comment on your experience and mine was great. | |

| Hello!! I have had the sleeve with Dr Padovan a little over 2 years ago. I have lost 80kg!! and it wasw the best thing I could have ever done, with the best surgeon! Because I am a nurse (moved from Sydney) I researched my surgeon. Dr P has been doing sleeves for quite a while and has an actual "Fellowship" in Bariatric Surgery from the United States. His complication rate is the lowest I have seen and this was very important to me as well as his training. He hasn't just started doing sleeves like so many other surgeons. He also does cosmetic procedures, like tummy tuck and arm lift, liposuction breast surgery and has been doing this for quite a while too. The most important thing is the surgeon's ecperience and their willingness to give you their numbers they have done, stats etc. -which is worth more than money. I have a new life thanks to Dr P and am so happy to help anyone who has any questions, as I know what its like in the beginning. All the best to you all, but most importantly, do your research, youu deserve the best!!! Oh, ALSO DR P SEES PATIENTS IN ROCKINGHAM TOO AT WAIKIKI SPECIALIST CENTRE AND IN PERTH AT THE MOUNT HOSPITAL, HE ALSO SEES PATIENTS EVERY 2 MONTHS IN AREAS LIKE ALBANY, PORT HEDLAND AND KALGOORLIE! I have some friends up in Port Hedland and they aree so thrilled to have him come there too. We are lucky to have someoone like him in Australia! | |

| Hi Sleeveless,
My Doc is Dr Chis Couch, he works out of Waikiki Private which is also where Dr Padovan is. I can highly recommend Chris he did my sleeve in March this year as well as a lapband removal. Bonus is that he also does Tummy tucks for his patients only.
Welcome to your journey :)

| Hi everyone
I am new to the forum and would like to know if anyone has had gastric sleeve surgery with Dr Padovan recently within the past 0-2 years. I have searched through some old post 2008 but can't seem to find any recent ones.
I would like to go with Dr Padovan as he is in my area and it will be easier for appointments etc. I also had my gallbadder removed by Dr Padovan in 2006 and was very please with him. I have now found out that he also does Gastric sleeve surgery.
I have just taken out my Private Health Insurance and now its time to gather all the information and organise the initial visits with a surgeon, while I wait for 12 months.
