Never too old if its going to improve the quality of life

I am 59 next month, best thing I ever did.

I have just turned 60 and I am having my op in a week's time. I agree that you are never too old as long as your health is reasonably good. Also as long as you do all your research and understand what is to be done I say go for it.
I am 60 but most people would not know it as they all seem to think I am a lot younger. It is a fantastic feeling that is for sure.

The other thing to consider is if your mum doesn't do something about the weight what will happen to her health and her future.

HI Girls,

I have had success in encouraging my mum. She is 70 and has type 2 diebetes and a bad reocurring stomach hernia. She is having her sleeve on Sept 14, and I agree it will add years to her life plus give her better quality of life.

We are also expecting it will help reduce her medications and put her in overall better health. Once she loses some of the initial weight, she can then have her hernia repaired.

I say never too old to enjoy the benefits of the sleeve.

I haven't had mine yet but I'm also trying to encourage my mum to get one too. She's also in her 60's. I think she will wait to see how I go before she makes a decision.

I dont want to seem rude or anything.....

My mum thinks she is too old for a sleeve- is there anyone out there in their 60's?

I would rather keep mum around for another 60 years so i think it would be worth it!!!
